Skindiver drowns on Big Island

A 52-year-old skindiver apparently drowned today in waters off Miloli'i on the Big Island, the Hawai'i County Fire Department said.Beachgoers found the man floating in the water at about 12:57 p.m. and brought him to shore. Witnesses and firefighters tried to resuscitate the man, but found no signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's identity was not released.
