1947:The Advertiser reports that the airport on Moloka'i, which was constructed by the Army during World War II, will be turned over to the Territory of Hawai'i.

1997: Gov. Ben Cayetano allows the reciprocal beneficiary bill to become law without his signature. It gives some rights and benefits of married couples to same-sex couples.
