Wind gusts could hit 45 mph today

A wind advisory is in effect across the state today through Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Honolulu. Tradewinds are expected to become strong and gusty today.This morning expect partly cloudy skies with breezy trades from 10 to 25 mph and some gusts up to 45 mph. Scattered windward and mauka showers are expected in the morning and will become isolated in the afternoon. Isolated leeward showers are also anticipated, said the weather service. Highs today will be from 82 to 87 degrees.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies in windward and mauka areas as well as numerous showers. Leeward areas will be partly cloudy becoming clear later in the night with some isolated showers. Breezy trades from 10 to 25 mph are anticipated.
Overnight lows will be from 73 to 78 degrees.
