East shores expected to see choppy, 8-foot surf

Advertiser Staff

A high-surf advisory remains in effect for east shores, according to the National Weather Service.

Surf along the eastern shoreline is expected to reach close to 8 feet today. Strong trade winds will bring rough and choppy surf to the east shores through tomorrow, forecasters said.

Elsewhere, surf will be 2 to 4 feet along south shores; 3 feet or less along the western shores and 2 feet or less along north shores.

A series of small to moderate south swells will continue into next weekend, with surf heights along south shores remaining below the high-surf advisory threshold.
