Police Beat: Arrest in strong-arm robbery incident

A 20-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in a strong-arm robbery in Wahiawa Saturday evening that was reported by a 24-year-old woman.

The woman told police a man approached her about 6:30 p.m., punched her and choked her as he took her money.

Police arrested the suspect later on suspicion of second-degree robbery. After his arrest, police reported finding illicit drugs on the man and added arrests on suspicion of promoting dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Teen arrested after woman reports sexual assault

An 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday after a 22-year-old woman told police the man held her against her will and sexually assaulted her early yesterday morning.

After the woman identified the man for police as her attacker, he was arrested on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping.
