Man dies after Wilikina crash

A man died today after a pickup truck he was in crashed head-on with a tow truck on Wilikina Drive near Wahiawa.The collision occurred at 5:09 p.m. and forced the closure of Wilikina Drive between Kaukonahua Road and Kamananui Drive.
Firefighters pried the injured man out of a pickup truck. He was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital in "extremely critical" condition and later died there, said city Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.
It was the 53rd traffic fatality on O'ahu in 2006 and the 87th statewide.
