Family Fun Zone to debut at UH football games

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i athletic department, in conjunction with Aloha Stadium and Centerplate, has created a "Family Fun Zone" for UH's eight home football games this season.

The "Family Fun Zone," which will be located in the stadium's north concourse (near Gate 7), will feature rides, contests, and inflatables from Xtreme Fun Rentals.

In addition, children will receive UH posters and schedule cards, and will be able to win tickets to upcoming UH sporting events and meet and get autographs from UH coaches and athletes.

The activities will be free and will begin when the stadium gates open and continue until game time. For games starting at 6:05 p.m., the stadium gates open at 3 p.m.

"We're really excited about creating a 'Family Fun Zone' at the stadium for our keiki and their families," said Herman Frazier, UH athletic director.

UH will continue to designate sections V and VV (orange level) in the north end zone as the "Family Zone," where alcohol consumption is prohibited in the seating area.
