SNEAK PEEK AT SWIMWEAR

Human and auto bodies meet at "Summer Heat," where local designers Iwalani Isbell of Pualani and Jennifer Sheridan of Lola Pout, as well as retailers ADASA and Allure, will showcase summer's hottest looks at the Audi of Hawaii auto dealership at 1069 Beretania Street. In case you want a new car to go with your bikini, you can preview Audi's new SUV, the Audi Q7.

The event is presented by Smart magazine on July 13, at 5:30 p.m. It's free to the public, but RSVP to amy@smartmagonline.com.

HELP PREVENT CHILD ABUSE IN HAWAI'I

Bonnie's Closet, a favorite spot with downtown shoppers, is extending a helping hand to Prevent Child Abuse Hawai'i, an organization that offers community education, support and public awareness programs.

The boutique, at 1026 Nu'uanu Ave. in Chinatown, will present a trunk show of ensembles from Key Lime Pie and Sunday Brunch, manufacturers of funky, slightly flashy capri sets. Sizes range from small to extra large. Outfits will sell for $30 per set, with $5 going to the not-for-profit organization.

The trunk show is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 14 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 15. Information: 585-8116.

SCHOOL TRENDS

What fashions will make the grade this fall for the high school and college set? Sassy and G Magazine present their predictions at two fashion shows: 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 15, at Macy's Ala Moana and 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 16, at Macy's Pearlridge. Both shows will be held in THISIT departments.

In addition to the hottest trends in junior fashions, the shows will feature a DJ spinning music, games and prize giveaways. Free, no reservations are required, but come early to get a good spot by the runway. Information: 945-5894.

NEW UV CAMERA

Check out the Murad UV Skin Photography System at Sephora. The U.S. cosmetics firm uses the camera as a resource for consultations on how best to reverse, repair and prevent damage to the skin.

"Photos with the UV camera show sun damage beneath the skin's surface; you really do see your skin in a different light," said Jeannie Higa, Director of Sephora Ala Moana Center.

Photos and consultations are free but reservations are required at 944-9797.
