Construction expected to slow traffic on H-3

Pavement repairs, striping and fixing damaged drainage pipes are a few of the construction projects slowing commutes heading into the weekend:

H-3 will have lanes closed

Lane closures will occur in the Kane'ohe-bound direction along the H-3 Freeway between the Halekou Interchange and the H-3 tunnels today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement repair.

One lane of H-1 Freeway to close for up to two weeks

One lane of the H-1 Freeway is expected to be closed for up to two weeks to repair a damaged drainage culvert under the highway.

The right west-bound lane of the freeway near Ka'amilo Overpass in 'Aiea is shut down. Construction crews are filling a void around the 11-foot drainage pipe next to Olopana Street.

'Aiea Access Road repairs set

The right south-bound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for barrier and electrical work.

Possible shoulder lane closures may occur along the southeast on-ramp (eastbound) from Kamehameha Highway to the Moanalua Freeway.

A right single-lane closure is scheduled along the Moanalua Freeway (eastbound) between McGrew Point and the loop ramp today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. as part of the roadwork.

In addition, lane closures may occur along Kamehameha Highway in both directions between McGrew Point and Salt Lake Boulevard today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for guardrail work.

Kunia Road work to slow traffic

Lane closures may occur along Kunia Road near the Del Monte packaging plant today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement striping.

Pali lanes to close

There will be lane closures along Pali Highway at the following locations:

Lanes may be closed in the Kailua-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and the Pali Tunnels today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for guardrail and pavement repairs.

Shoulder lanes closed on Pu'uloa Road

Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.

Lanes may also be closed in both directions of Salt Lake Boulevard between Ala Napunani and Pu'uloa Road today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for utility line installation.

Lanes closed near Crouching Lion

Lanes may be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn today for roadwork. During this time, one lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Kamehameha Highway work scheduled

Lane closures are scheduled in the eastbound direction along Kamehameha Highway between Lehua Avenue and Hekaha Street today between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for roadwork.

Lanes to close near Camp Smith

Lane closures may be implemented along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith, today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily for roadwork.

Single lane closures will be implemented along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, in the vicinity of Camp Smith, through tomorrow between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for pavement marking and sign installation.

Farrington Highway work scheduled

Lane closures will occur along Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Kahuali'i Street and Paiwa Street today from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for shoulder and drainage work.

Kaonohi Street work begins July 24

Work crews will be making intersection improvements at Kaonohi Street and Moanalua Road from July 24 through November. Work will be ongoing today, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Improvements include a raised median with fence on Kaonohi Street, traffic signal modifications, pavement marking modification and sign changes.
