Police looking for Makiki bank robbery suspect

Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed the Makiki branch of First Hawaiian Bank yesterday.

A man walked into the bank at 9:50 a.m. yesterday and handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. No weapon was seen at the time, police said. The man fled makai on Pensacola Street and was last seen entering the Kaiser Permanente building via the Young Street doors, police said.

He is described as in his 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue tank top, blue denim shorts, and prescription glasses with a silver frame, police said.
