Ching selected to MLS All-Star Game

Hale'iwa's Brian Ching was selected to the 18-player roster for the Sierra Mist Major League Soccer All-Star Game.The MLS All-Stars will face English Premier League champions Chelsea FC on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. The game will be televised live on ESPN at 12:30 p.m. Hawai'i time.
Ching, a forward for the Houston Dynamo who recently returned to the league from the World Cup in Germany, was selected by All-Star coach Peter Nowak, the head coach of D.C. United. It is the second time Ching was selected to the All-Star squad. His first selection was in 2004.
Ching is second in MLS with 10 goals in 11 games.
