Isolated showers forecast through weekend

Two words dominate the weather forecast now through Monday: Isolated showers.

A shower band is expected to spread a little light rain from east to west across the island chain today, according to the National Weather Service.

The showers are expected to diminish by early Saturday, then increase in the windward areas by later in the weekend.

Trade winds will remain on the moderate to light side into the start of next week.

Here's a more detailed look at what to expect:

Today, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 82 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday, partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly sunny. Isolated showers. Highs 83 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated light showers. Lows 66 to 76. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly sunny. Isolated light showers. Highs 83 to 88. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
