TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"My Best Friend's Wedding" (1997), 6 p.m., TBS. Two friends (Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney) had promised they would marry each other, if nothing else came up. Now he's found someone. She claims she'll be a good sport about it. Except that we quickly realize she still likes the guy. She's also kind of annoyed that the bride (Cameron Diaz) happens to be both beautiful and pleasant. What follows is a broad, formula comedy, salvaged by a first-rate cast.

"My Name is Earl," 7 p.m., NBC. Joy's parents think she's still married to Earl and he's a soldier returning from Iraq. He has to go along with the deception, partly because he's agreed to make amends for this item on his list, which reads, "always ruined Joy's Christmas."

OF NOTE

"First Blood" (1982), 5 p.m., AMC. Long before John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) became a standard, macho hero, we saw him as an angry veteran, battling authority. This is the tough, well-made film that introduced him.

"Master of Champions," 7 p.m., ABC. Here's the episode that was scheduled for last week then changed. Pizza-tossers compete; remote-control planes zip through an obstacle course.

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. The nurse who worked with Meredith's mother for years (Anna Maria Horsford) faces a tough cancer fight.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. The body of a high-price stripper has been found in a low-income part of town. Two people die inside a burning trailer.

"Windfall," 9 p.m., NBC. As Tally and Sean go through the estate of Tally's late sister, Zoe, they find a mysterious withdrawal from her account.
