Paddleboard race on Maui

The first Maui International Paddleboard Championships will be Sunday, starting at Maliko Gulch.

The 9-mile race will then follow the coastline of the North Shore and finish on the beach at Kahului Harbor.

There will be competitors from Hawai'i, the Mainland, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. Among those entered are reigning men's world champion Jamie Mitchell of Australia and women's champion Kanesa Duncan of O'ahu
