If you love orchids, you'll be at the Kaimuki Orchid Society's "Orchids for Everyone!" event this weekend at the Kilauea Recreation Center, next to Kaimuki Middle School.

Among the attractions: a display and sale, repotting help and classes (Build Your Own Orchid Shade House, 10 a.m. today; Everyone Can Grow Orchids! 2 p.m. today; and Orchid Flower Arranging for the Beginner, 10 a.m. tomorrow).
