Daniel could raise small surf later this week

Advertiser Staff

Surf along south shores will be 1 to 2 feet and occasionally 3 feet throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, the surf is expected to be 1 to 3 feet along eastern shores, 1 to 2 feet along the western shore and 2 feet or less along O'ahu's north shores.

Depending on strength of tropical system Daniel, some increase in an east swell is possible Friday or Saturday.

Also, an increasing south-southwest swell starting mid week will likely reach high surf advisory levels of 8 feet on the south shore late Thursday or Friday and continue through Saturday.
