Police Beat: Husband violates restraining order, arrested

Police apprehended a 28-year-old man Friday for allegedly violating a temporary restraining order against his wife, served only an hour before.

The man was served a TRO from his 25-year-old wife before 3 p.m., police said. Around 4 p.m., the man returned and allegedly threatened his wife with a knife, refusing to let her leave, police said.

The woman called police from a service station after her husband fell asleep. Police arrested the man on suspicion of terroristic threatening, kidnapping, and a TRO violation.

Girl, 5, tells therapist her mom's boyfriend sexually assaulted her

A 41-year-old 'Ewa Beach man was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl. Police reported that the girl told her therapist her mother's boyfriend had sexually assaulted her sometime between 2005 and 2006. Police arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault.

Man beaten after fleeing accident scene

Police arrested two men Friday night for allegedly beating a 33-year-old man in Wai'anae after he allegedly fled from the scene of an accident. Police said the victim was involved in a motor vehicle collision with the two men, 22 and 29, then reportedly fled the scene. The two men allegedly followed the older man home and beat him as he sat in his vehicle, police said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Police located the two men and arrested them on suspicion of unauthorized entry of a motorized vehicle and second-degree assault.

Man arrested for sexually assaulting family member

Police arrested a 61-year-old Kailua man Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 21-year-old family member on numerous occasions since 2003. The man and woman lived in the same house, police said. The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault to the first-degree, police said.

Boy, 13, arrested after threatening family with knife

A 13-year-old Honolulu boy was arrested yesterday for allegedly threatening his mother and younger brother with a kitchen knife. Police said the teenager was arguing with his 36-year-old mother and 12-year-old brother when he allegedly threatened them with the knife.

Police arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

Shoplifting elevates to robbery arrest because of punch

A 50-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly attempting to shoplift at a Safeway in Kapolei. Police reported the man entered the store, allegedly took some items, and left without paying. Store security tried to stop the man, who reportedly struck the guard in the face, police said. The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.

Walk rage? Pedestrian allegedly punches driver at traffic light

A 21-year-old man was arrested after allegedly striking a 22-year-old man in the face at a traffic light Sunday night. Police said the victim was sitting in his car at a traffic light when the man, a pedestrian, walked up to his vehicle and challenged him to a fight. The man refused to fight and other man allegedly punched him anyway, police said. Police arrested the man on suspicion of unauthorized entry of a motorized vehicle.

Alleged knife threat leads to 46-year-old man's arrest

Police arrested Sunday night a 46-year-old man who allegedly threatened a Honolulu store manager with a knife after she approached him about shoplifting. The 31-year-old assistant manager tried to stop the man to investigate a theft case, police said. The man allegedly pulled a knife and threatened to stab the woman, police said. Police located the man in the parking garage of the store and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
