O'ahu's south shore to see high surf

A high surf advisory is in effect for rising surf along O'ahu's south shore. The National Weather Service is expecting the surf to rise to 6 t 10 feet throughout the day today.

Elsewhere, predictions call for surf of 2 to 4 feet along eastern shores today, 3 to 5 feet along western shores and 1 to 3 feet along northern shores.

The first in a series of south swells will continue through tomorrow.

Another potentially larger south swell is expected to arrive Sunday and continue through Wednesday, keeping surf along the south shores at or above the high-surf advisory level of 8 feet.

Surf from former tropical depression Daniel will roll up on east-facing shores during the next few days, but is expected remain below the 8-foot

advisory level.
