Search called off for missing plane

Coast Guard and Maui Fire Department officials this afternoon due to worsening weather called off the search for a Cessna 177 with two people aboard that disappeared Thursday night off north Moloka'i.The remnants of Hurricane Daniel passed through the area late in the day, bringing strong gusty winds and seas rising to 12 feet. The agencies were to review the search effort in the morning.
