UH's Kamana'o earns top WAC preseason honor

Setter Kanoe Kamana'o was named the Western Athletic Conference preseason Player of the Year and four other members of the Rainbow Wahine joined her on the all-conference squad announced Friday.The 12-member team was voted upon by the league's coaches and announced by the conference office.
Joining Kamana'o on the team were Tara Hittle, Jamie Houston, Sarah Mason and Juliana Sanders.
Kamana'o was the 2004 and '05 WAC Player of the Year and Mason and Sanders joined her on the 2005 all-conference team. Hittle and Houston were second-team all-WAC selections last year.
New Mexico State, which was picked to finish second to UH in the coaches' preseason poll, placed four players on the preseason all-conference squad.
