KAUA'I CHANNEL RACE ON AUG. 4

The Kaua'i Channel Race, a 78-mile contest that will start at Ko Olina Marina and finish at Na-wiliwili, Kaua'i, will start Aug. 4.

The event is open to anyone in Hawai'i with a sailboat of any type over 20 LOA. Classes include monohull, multihull, cruising and HYRA club.

Entry forms are available on the Web at www.kauaichannelrace.com or by contacting the Nawiliwili Yacht Club at (808) 742-2512. The entry fee is $130.

The awards ceremony and party will take place Aug. 5. Tickets are $50 for the dinner and ceremony, and must be purchased by Aug. 1, as space is limited. Contact the yacht club for more information.
