No arrests in cabbie shooting

Honolulu police continue to investigate an incident around 9:10 p.m. Friday night in which a 52-year-old taxi driver was shot and critically wounded outside the First Hawaiian Bank on Moanalua Road in Pearl City. Police were still searching for the assailant, who police believe stole and fled the scene in the driver's 2006 Honda van. The van was later found in Kaneohe, police said.It was the second cab driver shooting in Honolulu this month. The first, in July 6 on Tantalus Drive, resulted in the death of the driver, Manh Nuygen. The latest victim was taken to The Queen's Medical Center and remains in critical condition today, according to police.
