North Shore beaches reopened today

Advertiser Staff

All North Shore beaches have been reopened after warning signs were posted yesterday due to a shark attack.

Lifeguards said they will be extra vigilant in monitoring beaches from Laniakea to Waimea Bay, particularly on beaches that do not have permanent lifeguard stands and are checked by mobile units.

Warning signs were posted yesterday afternoon after a 26-year-old diver suffered cuts to his left forearm while free diving at a surf spot known as Marijuanas near Chun's reef.
