Work scheduled for 'Aiea Access Road

Be aware of scheduled roadwork and allow for extra time.

'Aiea Access Road construction continues

  • The right south-bound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for barrier and electrical work.

  • Possible shoulder lane closures may occur along the southeast on-ramp (Honolulu-bound) from Kamehameha Highway to the Moanalua Freeway.

  • A right-lane closure is scheduled along the Moanalua Freeway (eastbound) between McGrew Point and the loop ramp through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of the roadwork.

    Roadwork scheduled near Camp Smith

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for roadwork.

  • Lanes may be closed along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place near Camp Smith for median curb work and roadway widening.

  • The right makai-bound lane of the Kahuapa'ani Overpass will be closed through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge work.

    Closures set for H-1 Waimalu widening project

    The H-1 Freeway between the H-1/Moanalua Freeway merge and the Pearl City off-ramp will be closed at the following locations:

  • H-1 Freeway, Pearl City off-ramp to the Halawa Interchange — the eastbound shoulder lane will be closed through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

  • H-1/Moanalua Freeway merge to the Pearl City off-ramp — one right westbound lane will be closed Thursday, 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

  • H-1 Freeway westbound — the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the H-1/Moanalua Freeway merge and the Pearl City off-ramp will be completely closed Friday and Saturday, 9:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.

    Message boards will be used to inform motorists of the full freeway closure. 

    Lane closures slated for Fort Weaver Road

  • Nighttime single-lane closures may be in place along Fort Weaver Road/Kunia Road between 'Ewa Beach town and Royal Kunia through Friday, 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement striping.

    Pavement repairs along Pali Highway

  • Weather permitting, single lanes will be closed along Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Pali Tunnels and Old Pali Road through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement repairs.

    Construction project continues along Kalaniana'ole Highway

  • Single lane closures will be in place in the Honolulu-bound direction along Kalaniana'ole Highway at the right-turn lane onto Kamehameha Highway through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.

    Pu'uloa Road improvements continue

  • Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

  • Possible lane closures may also occur in various directions along Pu'uloa Road, Salt Lake Boulevard and Pukoloa Street through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility line installation.

    Lane closures along Kamehameha Highway in Waiahole Valley area

  • Lanes will be closed along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn through Friday for roadwork. One lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

    Asphalt shortage stalls projects

    The following highway construction projects are on hold because of an asphalt shortage:

  • Kamehameha Highway resurfacing between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion.

  • Kamehameha Highway resurfacing between Castle Junction and the state veterans cemetery (Kane'ohe).

  • Farrington Highway resurfacing through Waipahu Town. Resurfacing work initially scheduled to begin in June will now most likely begin in July.

  • Road repairs/resurfacing of Kamehameha Highway through 'Aiea/Pearl City and Kalaniana'ole Highway through Waimanalo.
