Hawaiian Airlines had the best on-time performance during the month of April, making it the 30th month in a row in which the airline's on-time record topped the industry.

The U.S. Department of Transportation said today that 94.3 percent of Hawaiian's flights were on time in April. The DOT report also said Hawaiian had the second best record for fewest cancellations, baggage handling and fewest oversales.

Rival Aloha Airlines had the fewest complaints from consumers in April, according to the DOT.

Hawai'i home prices rose 25 percent in the first quarter from a year earlier, the third largest increase of any state, a federal agency reported today.

Arizona led first-quarter price appreciation at 37 percent, followed by Florida at 27 percent, according to the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight.

Nationwide, home prices rose an average of 12.5 percent.
