Pohai Lee has been named as the athletic director at Damien Memorial School, officials announced Thursday.

Spokesman Pat Bigold said Lee, the football offensive coordinator at Baldwin High School, was chosen from among 16 candidates from Hawai'i and the Mainland.

Lee, whose first name is Thomas but goes by Pohai, is a former slotback at Saint Louis School.

His father, Tommy Lee, is the head football coach at Montana Western. His uncles, Ron Lee and Cal Lee, are University of Hawai'i assistant football coaches.
