The Hawai'i qualifier for the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship is June 28 at the Turtle Bay Resort.

The qualifier is for youths ages 4 to 12. Deadline to enter is June 18.

The World Championship is July 26 to 29 at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.

DEADLINE IS MONDAY FOR TRANS NATIONAL

Entries are being accepted for the Women's Trans National Golf Association Championship, July 17 to 22, at Stonewall Old Course in Elverson, Pa.

The event is open to female amateurs with a USGA handicap index of 10.4 or lower.

Entry deadline is June 5. For details go to www.womens trans.com.

NIKE JUNIOR GOLF CAMP SET FOR JUNE 28 TO JULY 2

The Nike Junior Golf Camp is scheduled for June 28 to July 2 at Turtle Bay Resort.

The camp, for juniors ages 10 to 18, will cover fundamentals, course management, playing competitive golf, etiquette and rules.

Instructors include Larry Keil and Kevin Carll.

U.S. JUNIOR AMATEUR QUALIFIER JUNE 19 AND 20

A 36-hole qualifier for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship is set for June 19 and 20 at Turtle Bay Resort's Palmer Course.

The qualifier is open to amateurs 17 and younger with a handicap index 6.4 or lower.

Cost is $25. Entry deadline is Wednesday.

HSWGA entries: Entry forms for several summer tournaments are available on the Hawai'i State Women's Golf Association Web site (hswga.org). Golfers can also call the HSWGA at 589-2046.

Upcoming events: June 26: HSWGA Mini at Hawai'i Prince; July 10-12: HSWGA Match Play Championship at Oahu Country Club (new date); July 13-14: Pua Melia at Olomana Golf Links; July 17-18: Waialae Women's Invitational; July 25-27: HSWGA Stroke Play Championship at Mid-Pacific Country Club. Aug. 2-3: HSWGA State Tournament on Maui.

Women's Golf Week specials: Special rates for women are being offered at Ko Olina Golf Club during Play Golf America's Women's Golf Week, Saturday to June 10. Women can play for $40 for 18 holes and $20 for nine holes on an availability basis after noon. The offer is for Hawai'i residents. For details call 676-5300.
