GOING VEGAS
Loss rebate lets you play at no risk

By Anthony Curtis

Arizona Charlie's Decatur and Boulder are running a players club sign-up promotion that reimburses losses up to $100 on the first day of play. Join the Ultimate Rewards club and you can play slots or video poker until midnight the same day and be reimbursed up to the maximum $100 if you lose. The power in this promotion is the $100 rebate, so if you lose, make sure you lose the full amount before getting the rebate (remember to stop playing when you get down by $100).

MORE TERRIBLE: Terrible's has announced an expansion that will include a bigger casino and a new parking garage and hotel tower slated for a grand opening this summer.

PHANTOM PREVIEWS: At the Venetian, "Phantom of the Opera" will stage previews June 4-23. Tickets are $82-$157, which do not appear to be discounted.

Q. Giant city-like resorts have been announced for the south-Strip Boardwalk and the Stardust. Are there others currently planned?

A. These are Project CityCenter and Echelon Place. Expect Wynn Las Vegas to embrace the new "metaresort" concept, along with potentially the biggest of them all, a center Strip metaresort made up of adjoining Harrah's properties.
