ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Summer 'Dazed'

Advertiser Staff and News Services

True fans of director Richard Linklater's "Dazed and Confused" have probably already bought all the munchies they'll need to accompany multiple viewings of the extras-loaded Criterion Collection double-disc DVD of the 1993 cult classic, out today.

The rest of us herb-free folk who adore the last-day-of-school-before-the-summer-of-1976-detailing flick are hungry for commentary by Linklater, a 50-minute "Making Dazed" documentary, deleted scenes, audition footage and a 72-page book of essays and cast-and-crew memories.

See you at the moon tower.

FINAL WORD

"I don't want to be on stage rapping at age 40. I want to be at some club playing saxophone."
