Fresh south swell arriving today

Advertiser Staff

A fresh south swell arrives today and is expected to hang around through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service surf forecast.

It should bring wave faces in the 2- to 4-foot range today and may bump up the surf a bit later Sunday or early Monday.

Elsewhere on O'ahu, surf heights today are expected to reach:

  • 1 to 3 feet along west-facing shores.

  • 1 to 2 feet along east-facing shores.

  • 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.

Forecasters say a moderate late-season northwest swell could arrive late Sunday and peak on Monday.
