Waves of up to 3 feet for south, east shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf of up to 3 feet is on tap today along O'ahu's south- and east-facing shorelines.

Wave faces along the north and west shores are expected to remain at 2 feet or less throughout the day.

A series of south swells is heading this way and should continue into next week.

The first swell, a small one, is due in tonight. The second swell should be slightly bigger with forerunners arriving Sunday night and the surf peaking on Monday.

In addition, action could pick up along the north and west shores this weekend and into next week as a series of unseasonable swells from the northwest rolls in.

Things will start off small tomorrow, followed by a more moderate size swell Sunday night and maxing out Monday.
