She's the new Miss Hawai'i

Pilialoha Gaison, a junior Business Management major at Hawai'i Pacific University, was crowned the 2006 Miss Hawai'i at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom tonight.

Gaison works as a professional Polynesian dancer for Tihati Productions and would like to become a Honolulu firefighter. She is the daughter of Blane and Donnalei Gaison and a graduate of Kamehameha Schools.

Angela Everhart won 1st runner-up and Ana Tsukano took 2nd runner-up. Gaison will move on to the Miss America competition in January 2007.
