The Hawai'i Tourism Authority is holding its second Festivals & Events seminar next week as part of its effort to offer visitors more activities.

The seminar aims to help groups that organize festivals and events to improve their programs, and will focus on topics such as seeking sponsorships, building an effective brand and managing operations.

Speakers include Paul Jamieson, executive director of SunFest; Laurie Lang, BrandCentrics president and former Walt Disney Co. executive; and Julie Zadeh, director of market management for Expedia Partner Services Group and Hotels.com.

The daylong seminars will be Tuesday at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, Wednesday at the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort, Thursday at the Waikoloa Beach Resort and next Friday at the Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club.

The cost is $40. To register, call 528-4050 or e-mail eosakoda@omnitrakgroup.com.
