Lots of O'ahu roadwork planned for today

Summer weather has arrived and with it lots of roadwork. O'ahu drivers are advised to be aware of these projects.

H-1 work planned

  • The two westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway will be closed from the "Zipper Hale" to Waikele Monday from 12:01 a.m. to 9 a.m. as work crews replace damaged concrete barriers along the zipper lane. 

    Liliha on-ramp to close

  • The eastbound Liliha on-ramp to the H-1 Freeway will be closed on Monday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for pavement striping.

    Closures on Fort Weaver Road

  • Various single-lane closures may occur along Fort Weaver Road/Kunia Road between 'Ewa Beach Town and Royal Kunia from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tuesday through Friday for pavement striping.

    Pali Highway work scheduled

  • Various single-lane closures may occur along Pali Highway in the Kailua-bound direction between School Street and Pauoa Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for pavement repairs, weather permitting.

    Lots of work on Farrington

  • The following lane closures may occur along Farrington Highway this week:
    • In the westbound direction near Kahi Mohala from Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work.
    • In the Honolulu-bound direction near Chevron from Wednesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for concrete barrier and shoulder work.
    • In the westbound direction between Kahuali'i Street and Paiwa Street from Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Pu'uloa Road work set

  • Both shoulder lanes along Pu'uloa Road from Kamehameha Highway to Salt Lake Boulevard will be closed from Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

    Possible lane closures may also occur in both directions along Salt Lake Boulevard between Ala Napunani and Pu'uloa Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for utility line installation.

    'Aiea Access Road to close

  • The right southbound lane along 'Aiea Access Road from Moanalua Road to Kamehameha Highway will be closed from Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for barrier and electrical work.

    Shoulder-lane closures may occur along the southeast on-ramp (Honolulu-bound) from Kamehameha Highway to the Moanalua Freeway.

    A right single-lane closure is scheduled along the Moanalua Freeway (eastbound) between McGrew Point and the loop ramp Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of the roadwork.

    The right lane along Kamehameha Highway in the southbound direction will be closed between McGrew Point and Salt Lake Boulevard Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.

    Kailua Road construction planned

  • The left Honolulu-bound lane of Kailua Road between Hamakua Drive and Kailua High School will be closed Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction of temporary lane on median.

    Wilson Tunnel to close nights

  • The Likelike Highway's Wilson Tunnel will be completely closed in the Honolulu-bound direction from Tuesday night through Friday morning, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for median barrier work.

    Kamehameha Highway roadwork set

  • There will be lane closures along Kamehameha Highway between Waiahole Valley Road and Crouching Lion Inn from Tuesday through Friday for roadwork. During this time, one lane of traffic in either direction will be closed and contra-flowed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Halawa Heights Road closures

  • Various single-lane closures may occur along Halawa Heights Road near Camp Smith Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for roadwork.

    Single-lane closures may occur along Halawa Heights Road between Ulune Street and Fernridge Place, near Camp Smith, Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement marking and sign installation.
