Trades 10 to 20 mph today; rain possible tonight

After a stretch of hot, dry weather we could be in for a bit of rain tonight and tomorrow, but nothing heavy is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters have set the chances of rain tonight at 50 percent and dropped them a bit, to 40 percent, for tomorrow.

If those showers materialize tonight they are expected to be primarily in the windward areas.

Trade winds should help keep things cool during the work week but will diminish some as the weekend approaches.

Daily forecasts are:

  • Today, mostly sunny. Highs 81 to 88. East winds 10 to 20 mph.

  • Tonight, mostly clear in the evening, then partly cloudy with scattered showers after midnight. Lows 64 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

  • Tomorrow, partly cloudy. Scattered showers in the morning, then isolated showers in the afternoon. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.

  • Tomorrow night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 76. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Thursday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 87. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Thursday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Friday, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 88. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

  • Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 64 to 75. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
