1903: Honolulu's new baseball park is formally opened on Beretania Street.
1955: Plans for a $1.5 million International Village in Waikiki are approved by Queen's Hospital officials. Queen's had leased 14 acres of land to Mainland developers for the project between the Waikiki Theatre and the new Princess Kaiulani Hotel.
1994: Thirty-two Hawaiian "Missionary" stamps are auctioned in Switzerland for a total $1.8 million. The stamps dated back to 1852.
2000: A Circuit Court jury finds Byran Uyesugi guilty of first-degree murder and rejects his claim that he was insane when he gunned down seven fellow Xerox workers in November 1999.
