Rain slows morning commute

By David Waite
Advertiser Staff Writer

A steady drizzle this morning over much of O'ahu is slowing the morning drive a bit for many commuters.

A collision about 6:35 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway near the Waiawa overpass has slowed things even more for motorists heading in from Leeward and Central O'ahu.

And traffic is slow in both directions on the H-1 in Kalihi where police are conducting a homeless sweep makai of the eastbound Vineyard Street off-ramp.

There are no accidents or incidents to report at this time on the major highways or freeways leading into downtown Honolulu from the windward side and East O'ahu.
