Fujikawa shoots 11-over 81

Hawaii's Tadd Fujikawa, at 15, the youngest player in the field, shot an 11-over-par 81 Thursday at the U.S. Open in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Fujikawa, a Moanalua High School student, had a rough start, double bogeying the first hole. He also double bogeyed the sixth and 15th holes and bogeyed the eighth, ninth, 12th, 14th and 16th holes at Winged Foot Golf Club. He parred the rest of the holes.

Former Kaneohe resident Dean Wilson shot a 6-over 76 Thursday. He also double bogeyed hole No. 1.

The early leader clubhouse leader is Colin Montgomerie, who shot a 1-under 69. Among the notables, Phil Mickelson shot even-par 70 and Vijay Singh is at 1-over 71. Tiger Woods has yet to complete his round.
