Police Beat: Two arrests in baseball bat beating case

Two men, ages 21 and 44, were arrested yesterday as suspects in a baseball bat beating reported by a 28-year-old man.The man who filed the complaint told police the older man pulled up next to him in a car about 10:20 p.m. May 27 in Waimanalo, then got out of the car and grabbed him. He said two other men then got out of the same car and began beating him with a baseball bat. The man told police that when he began calling for help the three men got back into the car and left.
Police yesterday located two of the three men they believe were involved in the incident and arrested them on suspicion of second-degree assault.
