Advertiser Staff
Fire investigators today said spontaneous combustion was responsible for starting a fire that damaged the Hawaiian Mission Academy Sunday. The fire began in the school's attic and caused about $60,000 in damage, said fire spokesman Capt. Kenison Tejada. He said pockets of decomposing wood material in the attic generated enough heat to ignite.
