Business briefs: Hoku shares fall to $2.88

Shares of Kapolei-based Hoku Scientific Inc. fell 9 percent, or 27 cents, to close at $2.88 a share on the Nasdaq Stock Market today.It was the first time shares of fuel cell technology company have closed below $3 a share.
Stock in the fuel cell technology company has traded lower since the company recently announced a move to diversify into the solar panel manufacturing business.
June 29 is deadline to enter Parade of Homes
The Building Industry Association of Hawaii is scheduled to hold the 50th annual Parade of Homes the weekends of Oct. 7-8 and Oct. 14-15.
The statewide showcase of new homes is designed to educate consumers on the latest trends, technology and design innovations in residential construction.

Hawaiian Air gets kudos from Travel & Leisure magazine
Hawaiian Airlines been ranked as the nation's top airline serving Hawaii by Travel & Leisure magazine's 2006 World's Best Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
Hawaiian was ranked as the fifth-best domestic airline overall, following JetBlue Airways, Midwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Respondents rated airlines in five categories: cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, customer service and value.
