Drowning reported on Big Island

HILO, Hawai'i — A Hilo man apparently drowned yesterday while diving at Leleiwi Beach Park in Keaukaha.Police said Yoseph Albos, 47, was diving around 1 p.m. when a friend noticed he was in distress. The friend tried to help Albos and then called 911.
Fire department personnel attempted to resuscitate Albos and he was taken to Hilo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:17 p.m., police said.
