A service for the 41-year-old Kane'ohe man killed June 12 when a tour bus collided head-on with his sport utility vehicle in Kahalu'u will be held Wednesday at the Kailua Beach Park pavilion.

Corey Dean Voss was a food and beverage director at the Oahu Country Club. He was returning home from surfing on Kamehameha Day when a Roberts Hawaii tour bus crossed the centerline on Kamehameha Highway and hit his vehicle.

His widow, Asa Akamine, is pregnant.

Voss moved to the Islands from Washington state when he was 5. Friends and co-workers remember him as caring and fun-loving. He graduated from Kalaheo High School in 1983 and attended Hawai'i Pacific University. Voss was born in Medford, Ore.

The service will start at 10 a.m., and a scattering of his ashes will follow.

He is survived by his wife; mother, Dee Vanderschuere; brothers, Steve, David, Jay and Paul; and sisters, Ruth Ellen Shah, Denise Anderson, Lorrie Walsh, Candace Rhar and Janice Delanoy.
