If you love things that go boom, this is your week. The five-day BayFest (story on Page 16) offers a big show each night by the Grucci Brothers — at 10:15 p.m. today, 10:30 p.m. Saturday, 10:45 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 p.m. Monday and 10:45 p.m Tuesday. Details: www.bayfesthawaii.com.

For those of us who can't get to Kane'ohe for those pyrotechnics, there are several others that will celebrate the Fourth of July.
