Pali Highway reopens

The Pali was reopened in both directions at 7:15 p.m. tonight, Department of Transportation spokesman Scott Ishikawa said.He said a clogged culvert on the Old Pali Road above the highway contributed to the "Niagara Falls situation" that had caused lane closures in the Kailua-bound direction earlier. But workers diverted the water to another drain and the waterfall seemed to have subsided.
