Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i blew an 11-point halftime lead in losing to Louisiana Tech, 51-48, on Senior Night Saturday at Stan Sheriff Center.

UH, which was playing for a potential second-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference, dropped to fourth place in the league. UH finished its regular season at 17-10 overall, 10-6 in the WAC. Louisiana Tech finished 19-11 and 11-5.

Leading 36-25 at halftime, UH were outscored 21-4 over a stretch of about 15 minutes in the second half.

UH closed to 50-48 on a 3-pointer by Julian Sensley with about four seconds left. Louisiana Tech hit a free throw but missed the second. Sensley gathered the rebound, but his desperation three-quarter-court toss missed.
