The Kamehameha girls won their first Interscholastic League of Honolulu title since 2000, and were rewarded with a sweep of the league's postseason honors.

Senior forward Caycie Gusman was named the ILH Offensive Player of the Year, senior defender Markee Nobriga was named the Defensive Player of the Year, and Michele Nagamine was the co-Coach of the Year.

Gusman led the league in scoring with 14 goals, and "every single game she was a major offensive threat," Nagamine said.

Nobriga's ability to play anywhere allowed Nagamine to tinker with her lineup.

"I'm constantly amazed at her athleticism," Nagamine said. "She's tenacious."

Punahou seniors Sophie Merrifield (who scored six goals) and Ashley Nied, along with Mid-Pacific junior Miya Quinn, joined Gusman as the first-team forwards.

First-team midfielders are Punahou senior Lizzy Carlson and junior teammate Marisa Schoen, Pac-Five junior Ashley Medcalf, and Iolani junior Nicole Ha. Carlson and Ha both scored seven.

First-team defenders are Kamehameha junior Kylee Ann Ah Choy, Punahou sophomore Britt Sanford and Nobriga. Kamehameha senior Deysha Victorine is the first-team goalkeeper.

Carlson, Nobriga and Ah Choy are repeat first-team members.

Punahou coach Jorge Barbosa shared coaching honors with Nagamine.
