Civil Defense sets up emergency shelter

The O'ahu Civil Defense Agency has set up a emergency shelter at Brigham Young-Hawaii University's old gym in the Laie area because of today's heavy rains.Civil Defense and Red Cross officials have set up a command post at Swanzy Beach Park, near the Crouching Lion Inn in the Ka'a'awa area. The mobile office is on loan from Honolulu Emergency Services.
