TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"American Idol," 7 p.m., Fox. The show finally finds its 12 finalists. We'll learn which people (two male, two female) have been voted out. After that, "Idol" settles into its weekly rhythm.

OF NOTE

"Bringing Down the House" (2003), 7 p.m., ABC. A conservative tax lawyer (Steve Martin) inadvertently ends up with a convict (Queen Latifah) after starting a relationship via e-mail. From there, this comedy plays at all sorts of black-white stereotypes. The result was a box-office hit, depressing some critics.

"Survivor," 7 p.m., CBS. It's time to oust a sixth person.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. The team is unhappy to have a reality-show film crew following them around as they investigate a rape case.

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Summer's trying to find someone for her dad to date. Meanwhile, Ryan finds Johnny's bad-news father.

"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. A woman who hadn't left her apartment in two years suddenly disappears.
