Computers stolen from City Hall

Advertiser Staff

Police are investigating a break-in at City Hall believed to have occurred between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. yesterday.

City spokesman Bill Brennan said four computers appeared to have been stolen from the city Corporation Counsel offices on the ground floor of Honolulu Hale.

Police said they planned to have city employees perform an inventory of their individual work areas this morning to see if other items may have been taken.

An undisclosed amount of money also may have been taken during the break-in, police said.

Brennan said that the portions of the office that were burglarized were on the Punchbowl Street-side of the building.
